Get to know us

Sacred Heart Assisted Living is a retirement home, we care for the physical and mental health of older adults.

The service provided is merely humanitarian; here we practice the works of mercy and the people who care for the residents are workers with a lot of patience and empathy. In this facility we protect everyone, their integrity, health and their emotions matter to us.

Here the residents lead a peaceful life and the community organizes to spend time with them. Our goal is well-being and quality of life, that they can lead an honorable life.

I started working at the asilo in July 2022. I like working in the asilo because it is a meeting place between one generation and another; youth with older adulthood and the residents have a lot to contribute to me as a person, and as a priest. I also like that my work is part of  repaying them for what they have done for society.

My favorite part at the nursing home is when I have the opportunity to go spend time with the residents. I listen to them, they share a part of their life with me and I also share some of my work with them.

Our Transformation

We live in a society with an ever growing population of senior citizens. We hear U.S. citizens in our city that want an assisted living service. We see everyday that our residents are excited to interact with members of the community, and to have more activities and resources available to them. We know that our city wants to support our elderly but maybe they don't know how.

We're beginning to change that. This starts with sharing our story on our website and social media so that the city knows what happens inside our doors. Then we will continue on to make improvements to both our facilities and the daily lives of our residents, inviting the community in to support us in these endeavors.

Our vision is a bilingual refuge for senior citizens where their physical, social, emotional, mental and spiritual needs are met and exceeded every day; a place where they are not isolated by society but included, served and celebrated by it. A non profit assisted living facility with employees who care deeply and are more than fairly compensated for all that they do. A capacity to serve those who do not have the means to pay for these services, because we know that everyone has the right to quality of life.

This is the transformation we dream of.
